On the issue of India vs Pakistan tensions, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar recently addressed the Pakistani community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he shared insights into the latest. He was attending the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) ministerial meeting.
Speaking about the recent Pahalgam attack situation, Dar explained how India launched air strikes on Pakistan in early May a move based on allegations that Pakistan strongly denied. In a swift response, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down six Indian fighter jets and returned fire by targeting Indian airbases. The back-and-forth strikes continued until May 10, when American intervention helped both countries reach a ceasefire agreement.
Interestingly, Dar pointed out that Pakistan never asked for a ceasefire. He stated, We didn’t start it, nor did we escalate it, but when India requested a ceasefire after we responded, we agreed, only after settling the score.” And that’s where one major theme began to emerge. India can’t move on from Pakistan’s Victory.
India Humbled: They Wanted a Ceasefire After Their Defeat Amid Rising India vs Pakistan Tensions
Dar highlighted that the military aspect between the two countries had returned to normal, with both forces moving back to agreed positions. But politically, India Can’t Move on from Pakistan’s Victory, as the defeat hit hard on Indian leadership.
Pakistan gave a strong, well-measured response to India’s aggression, Dar noted, adding that India’s aim to dominate the region failed because Pakistan shattered that pride.
He emphasized that Pakistan believes in peace, equality, mutual respect, and dignity but will never compromise when it comes to defending the nation’s honor.
According to Dar, at 7:45am, our final strike ended. At 8:15am, we got a call from India they wanted a ceasefire.” This clearly showed who was actually seeking peace after losing the upper hand another reason why India Can’t Move on from Pakistan’s Victory.
Diplomatic Push: Pakistan Strengthens Global Ties at ARF
While in Malaysia, Ishaq Dar also met with global leaders, pushing for stronger diplomatic ties. On the sidelines of the ARF meeting, he held talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and the foreign ministers of Canada, Australia, Russia, the UK, and others including:
- Lao PDR
- Sri Lanka
- European Union
- Switzerland
These high-level meetings reflected Pakistan’s active role in global diplomacy, not just as a regional power but as a peace-seeking nation. Meanwhile, back in Pakistan, Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that India is now turning to proxy tactics after facing a clear defeat. He called it India’s nefarious agenda following its failure in the recent conflict, highlighting the ongoing India vs Pakistan tensions and proving once again that India can’t move on from Pakistan’s victory.
In the end, Pakistan’s measured yet powerful response not only defended the nation’s sovereignty but also left a lasting message. While Pakistan moves forward with peace and diplomacy, it seems clear India Can’t Move on from Pakistan’s Victory.
